Fireball Erupts as Plane Crashes in San Diego
- A Cessna 550 aircraft went down in a residential area of San Diego around 3:45 a.m. On Thursday, resulting in at least two fatalities and injuries to eight others.
- The plane originated in the Midwest and was bound for Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport about two miles from the crash site in a military housing area.
- The crash set 15 homes and multiple cars on fire, forcing about 100 people, including military families, to evacuate while officials provided temporary housing.
