The Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (Olacde) and the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) held in São Paulo, Brazil, the meeting “Gasuge integration in Mercosur + Chile: towards a regional market”, which brought together representatives of governments, energy companies, regulators and international organizations in the region.
A study by OLACDE and CAF estimates that gas integration between Mercosur countries and Chile could multiply regional gas exchanges, mobilize investments of more than US$ 25 billion and consolidate Vaca Muerta as a key supplier of the region.
