The Department of Education (DE) rejected a bill that grants a monthly increase of $1,000 to non-teaching employees, stating that the measure “interacts” with its Classification and Retribution Plan, currently in final phase. The Education Commission, chaired by the representative Tatiana Pérez Ramírez, evaluated the House Bill 703, presented by the president of the Chamber, Carlos Méndez Núñez, at the request of the Puerto Rican Workers’ Union.
