An apartment fire in Davie left a woman dead Friday morning, according to Davie Fire Rescue and loved ones at the scene. Davie Fire Rescue said they responded to a fire at 9:53 a.m. at Nova Central Apartments at 6857 College Court. They found heavy smoke coming from the unit and found the victim dead inside.
