- Stranger Things star David Harbour has joined the cast of Lionsgate's John Rambo prequel, taking on the role of Major Trautman, the commanding officer of the young soldier.
- Director Jalmari Helander helms this origin story exploring Noah Centineo as the titular soldier before his transformation into the isolated loner audiences know from the original films.
- Rounding out the ensemble, Harbour acts alongside Yao, Jason Tobin, Quincy Isaiah, Jefferson White, and Tayme Thapthimthong, stepping into the role previously portrayed by the late Richard Crenna.
- Production wrapped in Thailand earlier this year, with original franchise star Sylvester Stallone and producers Anthony and Joe Russo leading the executive production team for Lionsgate and Millennium Media.
- While no official release date exists, Harbour continues filming other projects including Avengers: Doomsday, Violent Night 2, and Evil Genius later this year.
