The community is invited to the Wood County Showdown Saturday (May 24) to support local veterans, businesses, first responders and law enforcement. Angels in Arms, Able Body Fitness, Iron Core and PTBG Car Group are presenting the event, from noon to 8 p.m. at the Woodland Mall, 1234 N. Main St., Bowling Green. The DAV Chapter 3 McIntosh County will be hosting two events this weekend to honor all military veterans.The first event will be to honor local military on Friday, May 23 at 5 p.m. at Vet- erans Park in Checotah.
