A "malignant actor" was able to consult a part of the national bank account file (FICOBA), which lists all bank accounts opened in French institutions. According to the Directorate General of Public Finance (DGFiP), these leaks "do not allow to consult the bank accounts in France.
The hacker attack on French bank accounts began already at the end of January. Account balance queries or transactions could not have been carried out.
A "malignant actor" was able to access the national bank account file via the usurped identifiers of one of Bercy's officials. The Ministry of the Economy, on the other hand, assures that the balances have not been consulted and announces a complaint. - Hacked bank file: data of 1.2 million accounts consulted by "a malicious actor" (Economy).
The data for 1.2 million bank accounts have been "inapplicable" since the end of January, thanks to the identifiers of an official of the Ministry of Economy.
