With the start of the Danish EU Council Presidency, a shift in migration policy in Europe is approaching. Scandinavia, once known for its cosmopolitanism, has been drastically tightening its asylum and integration policies for years. Denmark is now increasingly serving as a role model – also for other EU countries.
Debate: The other day, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) and Minister for European Affairs Marie Bjerre (V) gave speeches during the European Parliament meeting in Strasbourg. The Prime Minister presented the Danish plans for Denmark's presidency in the second half of 2025. This is completely normal.
