Denmark Orders New Multi-Role Environmental and Minelaying Vessels
Following the resolution of the final contractual matters, the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO/FMI) can now announce that a contract for new marine environment and minelaying vessels for the Royal Danish Navy was signed on 4 February.
This is the first time since 2016 that new vessels for the navy will be built in Danish shipyards.
The Danish Ministry of Defence's Materiel and Procurement Agency has signed a contract with the consortium Orlogsskibe Danmark K/S for four new marine environment and minelaying vessels. The first vessel is expected to be ready for use in the marine environment response in three years.
Danish consortium to build ships for the Navy for DKK 1.9 billion. The Ministry of Defense has placed an order for four new vessels for the Navy with a Danish consortium, which will both design and build the ships.
