The graffiti on the statue accuses David Lloyd George of being a Zionist and a colonialist, and declares that to be a "disgrace." David Lloyd George was a native of Llanystumdwy, who became Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Liberal Party between 1916 and 1922.
