'Enormous Moment for Hull FC': Daly Cherry-Evans Set for Super League Swansong
The 37-year-old Roosters star will end a record-setting NRL career after 15 seasons at Manly and chase a one-year Super League swansong at Hull FC.
On Friday, Daly Cherry-Evans announced he will leave the NRL at season's end, signing a one-year deal with English Super League club Hull FC for the 2027 campaign.
Currently playing for the Sydney Roosters, the 37-year-old half-back previously spent more than 15 years with the Manly Sea Eagles before joining the Roosters this year.
With 373 NRL games, Cherry-Evans holds the second-most appearances in league history and led Queensland to three State of Origin series wins while representing Australia in the World Cup.
Hull FC Chief Executive Richie Myler called the signing "one of the most significant signings in the club's history," signaling the club's ambition to compete for major honours.
Cherry-Evans will join Hull FC later this year under coach Steve McNamara, though he remains focused on pursuing a second premiership with the Roosters before departing for England.
