The US central bank will need to raise short-term interest rates by at least another half a percentage point to tighten monetary policy “somewhat” and get inflation back on track toward the Federal Reserve’s 2 percent target, Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan said on Thursday, according to Reuters.
Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan said that further interest rate increases are needed to bring inflation down to target. Logan noted that tightening in the bond market could affect the size of further increases.
