Dali Museum to break ground on $65M expansion this fall - Tampa Bay ...

On Tuesday, the Dalí Museum in Downtown St. Petersburg announced a $65 million expansion with a 35,000-square-foot addition.
With immersive exhibits now central, the museum wants to expand beyond its original design, Hine said, to increase exhibit variety and visitor opportunities.
The Beck Group will lead the expansion, funded by private and government sources including the Pinellas County Tourism Development Tax, and the museum will stay open during construction.
The Dalí will add galleries and community spaces to serve local audiences and tourists, Hine said, as the $65 million expansion is funded by private and government sources.
A public 3D model of the proposed expansion will be displayed before crews begin work, and the project will include immersive exhibits like the Dali Dome, Hine said.
