Dakota Wesleyan softball in first place in GPAC after home sweep

MITCHELL — Dakota Wesleyan University softball team moved into first place in the Great Plains Athletic Conference standings alone on Monday night, sweeping Briar Cliff in a home doubleheader at McWhirter Field. DWU won the opening game 6-1 and then claimed Game 2 by a score of 6-4. The win improves DWU to 26-11 on the season and 9-1 in conference games ahead of the Easter break in conference play.
