It was announced on the 19th that Daigo Higa (30) =Shisei=, a former world flyweight champion from Urasoe City and currently ranked No. 2 in the World Boxing Association (WBA) bantamweight division, will make his comeback on July 20th at Ryogoku Kokugikan and will face Riku Masuda (28) =Teiken=, ranked No. 1 in the same division, in a title fight for the bantamweight title. Higa said, "If I'm going to do it, I want to win the world title."
