Daffodil Festivals 2025: Picking time for school children, "flowering is exceptional"

The start of the daffodil picking was given to Gérardmer. Each edition, the schoolchildren respond to this local custom which allows them to participate in the party and to do mathematics in the open air.

The traditional gathering for the Daffodil Festival began this Thursday morning in the meadows of Gérardmer and the area. For two days, more than 1,250 schoolchildren, associations and other volunteers are mobilized to pick the 50,000 bouquets of 50 daffodils needed to garnish the tanks.
