Dad dies from cancer after being told leg pain was sciatica
The fundraiser has raised more than $13,500 for his wife and four children after the aggressive blood cancer returned, family members said.
Joe Till, 33, from Lancaster, Lancs., died May 17 following a battle with aggressive stage four diffuse large B-cell lymphoma after an initial misdiagnosis of sciatica.
After repeatedly visiting walk-in centers for leg pain in 2024, he recalled: "They told me it was sciatica but one day I found I couldn't walk upstairs."
The gym-goer endured months of grueling treatment, though he lost mobility from the shoulders down and was told February 9 the NHS could do nothing more.
A fundraiser for his wife and four children has raised more than $13,500, while his funeral took place yesterday, May 29.
His family announced his passing on the fundraiser page, stating: "We know how loved he truly was." The tribute underscores community support for his legacy.
