The College of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians of Puerto Rico (CTRA) alerted the public about the entry into force of Regulation 9732, a new regulation from the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO) that establishes stricter controls for the sale, purchase, use and handling of refrigerants, with penalties that can reach $5,000 for each violation.
The College of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians of Puerto Rico (CTRA) reported that the new regulations approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO) regulating the sale, use and safe handling of refrigerant substances are already in full force, so it is alerting citizens not to hire the services of people who without a license and without federal certifications, as they avoid putting their health and safety at risk.
