US military refueling plane crashes in Iraq during Iran offensive
One KC-135 crashed with six crew aboard while a second landed safely; U.S. Central Command confirmed the crash was not caused by hostile or friendly fire.

- Rescue teams are working and CENTCOM requested patience as officials gather details, saying it was unclear if there were casualties and noting at least five crew members were aboard.
- The loss marks the KC-135 as the fourth publicly acknowledged U.S. aircraft lost during operations against Iran, following last week’s friendly-fire downings of three F-15s, CENTCOM said.
- Amid the wider offensive that began on Feb. 28, the war has cost the United States $11.3 billion, killed seven U.S. troops, and wounded about 140 service members.
