25 new properties have been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List
A total of 25 new properties have been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List during the ongoing 48th session of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, South Korea. The five beaches of Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword, as well as the peak of the Hoc, the Allied Landing Theatre in June 1944, are now registered with Unesco. This recognition is expected to strengthen the preservation and outreach of the D-Day sites.
