Raipur, September 25, 2026: Continuous torrential rains in the Bastar division, triggered by Cyclone Arnab in the Bay of Bengal, have created flooding in several areas. Heavy rains since Wednesday have caused rivers and streams to overflow, and traffic on several major connecting roads has been disrupted.

Heavy rains in Chhattisgarh have caused massive flooding in the Indravati river. Many villages in the Bastar region, including Jagdalpur, have been surrounded by water and their connectivity has been cut off. Traffic on the highway has also been disrupted. Currently, urgent rescue operations are underway in the flood-affected areas.
