‘Cychlorphine’ toxic drug alert issued for northeast B.C.

JOHN, B.C. — Northern Health has issued a toxic drug alert for white pills being sold as Dilaudid.  According to a Aug. 14 Northern Health announcement, recent samples of white Hydromorphine pills sold as ‘Dilaudid’ tested positive for a “new synthetic opioid” called Cychlorphine.  Cychlorphine is known to be up to 10 times stronger than Fentanyl, and may result in more doses of naloxone being needed in the …
