For wanting to take her students to Calais to work on migrants, the teacher in the preparatory class was subjected to a surge of hatred online in November 2022. On Tuesday 9 June, she awaits a court decision after having prosecuted several extreme right-wing officials in defamation.
The Paris court is due to issue its decision this Tuesday, June 9th in the trial brought by Sophie Djigo against nine defendants, including Eric Zemmour and two elected RN. The teacher accuses them of having launched an online hate campaign after a school trip in Calais.
The verdict in the defamation trial brought against members of Reconquête! and the National Rally by Sophie Djigo, a teacher who was cyberbullied after developing an educational project about migrants, is expected this Tuesday. Historian Laurence de Cock provides some insights.
