A suspected young hacker, known as "HexDex", was charged and jailed in Paris on Thursday, 23 April. He is suspected of being the origin of a wide range of piracys targeting, among others, public institutions and sports federations.

A suspected young hacker, hidden behind the alias "HexDex" and suspected of being behind an avalanche of hacking of sports federation sites or even of the National Education, has been charged and placed in custody.

Born in 2004, the young hacker was in the sights of the anti-cybercrime section of the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office for several weeks. The investigators of the Brigade de lutte contre la cybercrime (BL2C) linked him to about 100 reports of piracy, committed from 19 December 2025.
