Regulator urges Min. to withdraw broadcaster’s public recognition after Hitler praise
The Dutch Media Authority (CvdM) has told Minister Rianne Letschert that she can reconsider Ongehoord Nederland’s (ON!) provisional recognition as a public broadcaster. The CvdM said the broadcast featuring Hitler's praise was a turning point in its assessment. Overall, the authority concluded that ON! is structurally failing to comply with laws and regulations, properly spend public funds, and meet journalistic quality standards.

The Dutch Media Authority (Commissariaat voor de Media) is of the opinion that the Minister can reconsider the provisional recognition of Ongehoord Nederland (ON!) and must take an appropriate decision regarding this, the CvdM reports. According to the CvdM, the reason for this is the "public outrage caused by the recent broadcast of ON!". A clip of Hitler was shown in the broadcast, and according to critics, his statements were condoned.
