Cuyahoga County seeking 2.5-mill HHS levy hike this fall
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County leaders on Tuesday announced plans to ask voters this fall to increase one of the county’s major health and human services levies by 2.5 mills, warning that without new revenue the county could be forced to make some of the deepest service cuts in years.
Tax hikes proposed for county human services, RTA and disabilities
Multiple tax increases could be headed for Cuyahoga County voters’ ballots over the next year. Although county voters are often friendly to levies, the tax increases could face the political headwinds of rising costs and homes values.
