EU Trade Chief Heads to Washington for Trade Talks
EUROPEAN UNION, JUL 15 – The EU plans tariffs on $84 billion of U.S. goods to counter proposed 30% U.S. tariffs on European products amid stalled trade talks, officials said.
- The European Union's top trade negotiator Maros Sefcovic is visiting Washington for talks with US officials to address transatlantic tariffs.
- President Donald Trump threatened a 30 percent levy on European goods starting August 1 if a deal is not reached with the EU.
