The pace of pending home sales continued to dip in January, according to data released Thursday by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). NAR’s Pending Home Sales Index (PHSI) fell 0.8% from a month prior to a reading of 70.9 in January. This represents a 0.4% decline compared to a year ago.
