Man killed in fatal stabbing at Croydon retail park named as Lorik Abazi
Seven people were arrested after a triple stabbing at Croydon's Valley Retail Park left Lorik Abazi dead and two others injured, police said the incident is isolated.
- On Sunday, Lorik Abazi, 22, from Croydon, died in hospital after a stabbing at the Valley Retail Park on Hesterman Way around 1.15am.
- Metropolitan Police detectives are appealing for witnesses and footage via the Major Incident Public Portal and Chief Superintendent Nick Blackburn said detectives are working around-the-clock with increased local patrols.
- In total, seven people have now been arrested in connection with the incident, including two women, both aged 25, and a 28-year-old man held on suspicion of murder.
- In a tribute, the family described the victim as a caring, smart young man and asked for privacy while being supported by specialist officers, and Chief Superintendent Nick Blackburn said they `have suffered an unimaginable loss`.
- Since the attack, the Valley Retail Park has been cordoned off and police asked anyone near Rye Lane on Saturday between 6:30pm and 7:30pm to come forward; those with information should contact the Met via 101 quoting 6065/14Feb or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
