Crowley Ahead of Tiffany in Post-Primary Wisconsin Governor Poll
Crowley’s 48% to 44% edge over Tom Tiffany is within the margin of error, while independents favor him 42% to 30%, pollsters said.
A new Badger Battleground poll shows Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley leading Republican Congressman Tom Tiffany 48% to 44% in the Wisconsin gubernatorial race.
The survey of 500 likely voters was conducted August 12 and 13, the first two days following Crowley's razor-thin primary victory over State Rep. Francesca Hong last week.
Among independent voters, Crowley led 42% to 30%, while college graduates backed him 58% to 35%; conversely, non-college voters supported Tiffany 52% to 38%.
Tiffany claimed Crowley "nearly doubled Milwaukee County's sales tax" and raised property taxes, arguing voters will reject his leadership when they see his record.
Crowley accused Congressman Tiffany of pushing a "MAGA agenda" described as "too extreme for the Badger State," with both candidates now focusing on turnout for November.
