Against the backdrop of the crisis in the negotiations and the return of the Israeli delegation from Qatar, many gathered at Habima Square. "The never-ending war is weakening us as a people and as a society," they protested. "The war has exhausted itself - any publicity allowed is heartbreaking, every wounded person's world is shattered."
Thousands of protesters gathered in Habima Square demanding an end to the fighting and the return of the kidnapped. Bereaved families, parents of soldiers and public figures attacked the government, claiming that the war had been unnecessarily prolonged and had become political at the expense of the soldiers.
