A spokesperson said about 500 teens were gathered in the area, with multiple fights taking place. The village is one of the areas, along with Streeterville and Millennium Park, where large crowds of teens gathered for what is called "teen takeovers."

Some 500 teens crowded into Downtown Oak Park Halloween evening. Police received a call of shots fired at 7:49 p.m. No injuries were reported from the shots.
