Cougar cross country sweeps the WCC championships

On the first day of November, WSU cross country headed north to Spokane and dominated the WCC Championships. The two squads combined for four podium finishes and two historic championship wins.  For the women’s squad, they snagged their first conference championship in program history. Junior Milaina Almonte led the Santa Clara University women's cross country team to a sixth-place finish Saturday with her own sixth-place individual showing at the 2025 West Coast Conference Championship at The Course in Spokane.

Crum Earns All-WCC Honors as Pilots Place Fifth at WCC Championships

Freshman Megan Crum continued her outstanding season by leading the Portland women at the 2025 West Coast Conference Championships on Saturday morning at Spokane Valley Commons. Crum placed 11th overall with a time of 20:43.32, earning All-WCC Second Team honors in her championship debut and led Pilots to a fifth-place team finish.

Washington State University cross country swept the West Coast Conference Championships as Solomon Kipchoge and Rosemary Longisa claimed the individual titles. With the team victory this morning, the women earned the first cross country conference championship in program history. The men's team earned their first conference championship in 50 years, dating back to their fourth conference title in 1975.
