Cross-Border Terrorism to Be Crushed with Full Might of State, CDF Munir Says to Graduating NDU Batch
He said terrorist sanctuaries and facilitators will be dismantled as Pakistan cites hostile intelligence networks and Afghan territory in recent attacks.
On Wednesday, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir addressed graduating officers at the National Defence University in Islamabad, vowing to crush cross-border terrorism and completely dismantle terrorist sanctuaries and their facilitators.
Munir criticized the Afghan Taliban regime for providing sanctuary to militants, stating that terrorist networks operate under the tutelage of hostile intelligence agencies to undermine Pakistan's internal security and economic prosperity.
Eleven soldiers were martyred and 14 terrorists killed in a recent convoy attack in Balochistan, while officials allege Afghan nationals are increasingly involved in TTP ranks and suicide attacks.
The Field Marshal expressed "full confidence in the professionalism, morale and operational readiness of the battle-hardened armed forces of Pakistan," urging graduating officers to adhere to integrity and selfless service.
Pakistan Armed Forces are recalibrating employment strategies to address evolving warfare, as Munir emphasized that wars are won through "faith, unity and discipline" rather than political rhetoric or sloganeering.
