Croatia Celebrated Its National Day

Croatia today solemnly and dignifiedly marked its Statehood Day, remembering May 30, 1990, when the first democratic, multi-party Parliament was constituted in Zagreb, thus beginning the process of creating a modern Croatian state. The celebration was a sign of remembrance of the beginnings of Croatian democracy, but also of gratitude to all who participated in the creation of an independent state.
