Crews battling large brush fire in Winnabow

WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — Multiple units are responding to a large brush fire in Winnabow Thursday afternoon. According to the Winnabow Volunteer Fire Department, the fire is in the woods off of Rock Creek Road. The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says that Rock Creek Road in Winnabow is now closed due to the fire. WWAY is on the scene with more updates coming soon.
