Greg Mcdermott Retiring After 16 Seasons at Creighton

On Mar 23, 2026, Creighton coach Greg McDermott announced his retirement after this season, with Creighton confirming Alan Huss will succeed him for 2026-27.
Having led the program since 2010, Greg McDermott helped transition Creighton from the Missouri Valley to the Big East, signing a 2024 extension through 2027-28.
On the court, Creighton under Greg McDermott reached 10 NCAA Tournaments, including three Sweet 16s and the 2023 Elite Eight, and he won 365 games, surpassing Dana Altman in 2024.

I look forward to the continued success of Bluejay basketball under the leadership of Alan Huss', and Huss, a former Creighton player and associate head coach, will lead next season.
