The departure of Nick Woltemade to Newcastle United flushed a lot of money into the cash registers of VfB Stuttgart. The Swabians, however, had little time to commit a replacement. Bundesliga competitor FC Augsburg had the VfB flashed off quite hard just before the end of the transfer window.
