- The source material has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide since its 2019 debut, becoming the most successful original horror comic since 'The Walking Dead.'
- Zobel, who helmed 'The Hunt' and acclaimed television series including 'Mare of Easttown' and 'The Penguin,' brings extensive experience navigating the intersection of violence, paranoia, and human behavior.
- Blumhouse is simultaneously developing an adult animated series version of the franchise, which will be shepherded by co-creator Tynion.
- The project is currently not on the company's 2027 slate, which includes 'River' and 'The Exorcist: Martyrs,' and the studio has yet to announce a production timetable or release date.
