Carlsbad Cavemen sophomore pitcher Wade Cozart gave up two runs, and the offense scored seven runs in final two innings as Carlsbad defeated Las Cruces Organ Mountain 9-2 in the first game of a three-game series in the state playoffs Friday night in Carlsbad.
