- Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer warned players the Brazil visit would feel different, stating, "We were very up front with the guys early on. You're not going to have the free time to do what you."
- Previous NFL games in Brazil were held at the 48,000-seat NeoQuimica Arena in Sao Paulo, but Sunday's game in Rio brings the action to a new market where some tickets remain.
- Quarterback Dak Prescott, playing in his first international game, noted, "This is a first for the majority of the team," as he focuses on the task ahead despite the unfamiliar setting.
