ZAHEDAN, SISTAN AND BALUCHISTAN PROVINCE, IRAN, JUL 26 – Militant group Jaish al-Adl claimed responsibility for the attack amid ongoing sectarian tensions in the underdeveloped Sistan and Baluchistan province, officials said.
- Nine people were killed in a gun and grenade attack on a courthouse in Sistan-Baluchistan province in southeastern Iran on Saturday.
- The assault happened near the borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan, where clashes between security forces and armed groups, including the Sunni militant group Jaish al-Adl, frequently occur.
