The Courtenay Fire Department has responded to a structure fire on McPhee Avenue and Eighth Street. Smoke was seen rising from a building along Rotary Trail. Crews were on scene attacking the fire, and gained entry to the building from the south side at around 9 a.m. Crews are still on scene, and have blocked off the road near the fire. There were no injuries in the incident More details to come.
