- Courtenay-Comox MLA Brennan Day left the B.C. Conservative Party on Wednesday, becoming the fifth caucus member to depart in less than two weeks under Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay.
- Day cited Findlay's "judgment, conduct, and ethical standards" and criticized the actions of those she has "chosen to surround herself" with. He told Black Press Media, "That's not what I was elected to do."
- On Wednesday, Findlay fired Operations Director Apollo Chung, a former Republican Party of Alberta staffer working for the Conservative caucus. Party President Aisha Estey and Executive Director Angelo Isidorou have also quit within the past month.
- Day plans to sit as an Independent, while Kamloops Centre MLA Peter Milobar and Delta South MLA Ian Paton announced plans to form a new centrist political party.
- Richmond-Bridgeport MLA Teresa Wat also resigned on Wednesday, marking the second departure that day amid a broader exodus affecting the Conservative Party's stability. Staff departures and removals have compounded the leadership turmoil.
