The Swiss Federal Administrative Court has issued a landmark ruling allowing the repatriation of Afghans under favorable individual circumstances. Rejecting an appeal by a young Afghan man, the court stated that returns are possible in certain favorable conditions.

Refugees from Afghanistan will again be returned to their country in certain special cases. In a reference judgment, the Federal Administrative Court (FAT) confirms that in the presence of "favorable individual circumstances", the return of a refugee is now possible.
