Appeal on planning bid to put solar panels on listed cottage dismissed

A government planning inspector has told a Herefordshire couple they can’t put solar panels on their historic farm cottage. Neville Fleet of the part-16th-century, grade II listed Park Farm House, Newton St Margarets in the county’s Golden Valley, applied in early 2024 for listed building consent and planning permission to install 16 solar panels on its south-facing roof.
