County rejects grant agreement due to DHS Article 55 requirement
The Dewey County Commission, at its April 2 meeting, voted unanimously to decline signing an amended 2025 Local Emergency Management Performance Grant (LEMPG) agreement containing amended articles for reimbursement. Article 55 of the agreement requires cooperation and coordination with the federal Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) in regard to immigration enforcement.
