County judge issues temporary burn ban for Hopkins County
Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom Friday, Jan. 9, signed an order officially prohibiting outdoor burning in Hopkins County. The measure follows days of high winds and response of Hopkins County and volunteer firefighters to more than one grass fire in the county, and multiple Friday that included downed powerlines.
