After hearing several residents’ concerns at a June 3 public hearing, the Beulah city council denied a project for construction of a 125-foot-tall communications tower in town along North Dakota Highway 49.
The hearing stemmed from council’s pre-approval of the project earlier this spring – a 4-3 vote – which allowed the project to move forward to the next step, which was a protesting period and a public hearing.
