A police chase ended after the driver of a Chevrolet Corvette, who had refused to stop, drove into a tree.
A chase that crossed two counties ended in Torrance on Thursday night, with a wounded driver and a broken yellow Corvette. The chase began in Orange County, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). It continued along Highway 91 in a westerly direction and was in the Cerritos area around 8 p.m., before advancing to South Bay.
